Kobe Bryant of the Lakers on the left & Kevin Durant of the Thunder on the right.
Los Angeles Lakers
Most will not agree with this bold statement. Kevin Durant has a really good chance of landing in a Lakers uniform if he decides that leaving the Thunder is his best option. We will have to keep a close eye on how rookie D’Angelo Russell and second-year player Julius Randle perform which will have to be promising for Durant to leave a winning playoff team in his prime to join a struggling Lakers team. Kobe Bryant would have a veteran to pass the baton of the Laker greats and Kevin Durant would have his own army of young soldiers to lead. Although Durant claims he doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight with Westbrook we have to take into account that he also said he’s tired of coming up second under LeBron James . The Lakers have done a good job this off-season acquiring talent and players to support a star so either they are planning on one of their young players having a breakout season or they are planning bigger in this upcoming free agency. Heck, they might even be looking to trade for a star like, Carmelo Anthony with all of their young talented players.
