If you haven’t heard that Paul George has informed the Indiana Pacers he intends to leave in 2018, you haven’t been online in the last 24 hours. According to reports from the legendary Adrian Wojnarowski, Paul George has informed the Pacers he intends to leave and prefers to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. Now according to Sam Amico, the Pacers and Cavaliers have engaged in trade talk involving Paul George.

The Pacers would reportedly like to get a deal done before Thursday’s NBA Draft. Although this might turn out to be a bidding war, the Pacers virtually have no leverage after the leak of George’s future plans. The Lakers would be wise to get into the bidding war because if PG13 has a taste of the finals with Cleveland, it will be hard to convince him to leave for the Lakers. Especially if they don’t reach the post season.
With LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love and company nearly getting swept in the finals by Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and the Warriors, the Cavaliers should try to do whatever they can to get their 4th star or upgrade one of their current 3 stars in an attempt to compete with the Warriors.
