The first half between the Celtics and Cavs was a domination by the Cavs. They won the first quarter, 30-19, and didn’t look back going into the half-time break. They would go on to take the second quarter as well, by a score of 31-20, making it 61-39 at half-time.
The third quarter was much better for the Celtics, they would out play the Cavs and win the quarter 36-31, but still trailed by a huge margin of 92-75.
The Celtics took the 4th quarter, 29-25, but the Cavs blew them out by a final score of 117-104.
The two bright spots for the Celtics’ were Jae Crowder, who posted 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Isaiah Thomas who had 10 assists to go along with 17 points. Not a great scoring night for IT, but the assists were there all game.
LeBron James had another amazing playoff game, and was absolutely the player of the game tonight. He posted 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists, and shot 58 percent from the field. He continues the tear he is on in the playoffs and the Celtics just don’t seem to have what it takes to slow him down (not a lot of teams do).
Kevin Love had a monster game, 32 points and 12 rebounds. He also shot 6-9 from the three-point range.
The play of the game came from Kyrie Irving who dazzled his way through the lane with tight handles, a great spin move, and a superb finish.
