The New Orleans Saints are beginning to accumulate a linebacker corps that’s about as deep as one could ask.
It was only twelve days ago (March 9) when they inked former Carolina Panther A.J. Klein, to a three-year, $15 million contract in an effort to bolster their depth. But now it seems that they’ve managed to lure the now former co-captain and defensive signal-caller of the LA Chargers, Manti Te’o.
This past season, Te’o suffered an Achilles tear in week three against the Indianapolis Colts which caused him to miss the rest of the season.
He will join a linebacker corps that consists of Klein, Dannell Ellerbe, Craig Robertson, Stephone Anthony, Hau’oli Kikaha, Nate Stupar, Travis Feeney, Adam Bighill and Royce LaFrance.
The exact terms of the deal are currently unknown, but ESPN’s Mike Triplett has reported that the two sides have agreed upon a two-year deal:
