The Atlanta Hawks announced Sunday that they will be down two essential players to start their three-game road stretch, possibly even longer.
Star forward Paul Millsap, who missed Saturday’s game against Portland, will not suit up Monday against the Hornets or Wednesday against the Wizards due to tightness in his left knee. It’s currently unknown whether or not he’ll be good to go for Friday’s game against Milwaukee, so stay tuned to @RealBallInsider for any further developments on the matter.
Kent Bazemore on the other hand is expected to miss the entire week following a knee injury he sustained with 5:27 remaining in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against the Blazers. An MRI later revealed a right knee bone bruise. He will not travel with the team, and will be treated then re-evaluated in 7-10 days.
In response, the Hawks recalled rookie DeAndre Bembry from the D-League and he will suit-up for Monday’s game against Charlotte.
