Beal led the Wizards to a huge win tonight and in doing so, Washington overcame the Boston Celtics as the second seed in the Eastern Conference. It wasn’t easy though. Heading into the fourth quarter the Wizards were down by 15, but that’s exactly when Beal turned it up a notch. He went on to to score 16 points in the fourth quarter alone, which helped to force a crucial overtime where he added another 5 points to his 38 point total.
Beal was clutch tonight, and he’s a large part of why Washington is walking away with the win tonight. It’s just so crazy to remember that this is the same team that started the season at 2-8.
