Greek combo guard Kostas Sloukas of Turkish champion Fenerbahce will miss the last seven games of the EuroLeague Regular Season, due to surgery in his left knee. Sloukas got injured during a match against Pinar Karsiyaka for TBL on Sunday (02/26) evening. Because of this fact, he’s going to stay out of action for at least one month (estimated recovery time: 4-6 weeks).
The 27-year-old playmaker, former back-to-back EuroLeague winner (2012 and 2013) with his ex-team Olympiacos Piraeus, is averaging 10.2 points, 4.5 dimes and 1.6 boards per game this season in 23 appearances. Legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic is not expected to look for a new addition and hopes Sloukas be available again before the beginning of the EuroLeague playoffs.
