According to the Vertical, Brandon Jennings is signing with the Wizards on Wednesday afternoon. Even though he hasn’t been cleared yet, it looks as if he’ll already be set to join another team.
Jennings plans to travel to Washington to sign his deal with the Wizards according to Woj.
The Wizards must waive a player to clear a roster spot for Jennings.
On Monday, Jennings was recently waived by the New York Knicks. Jennings told the Knicks that he wanted to play on a playoff team. A month ago he put on twitter that it will be embarrassing if we didn’t make the playoffs.
Knicks Head Coach Jeff Hornancek spoke on why Jennings left.
“Brandon obviously wanted to play more minutes here,” Hornacek said. “With Derrick out there, it made it awfully tough, so maybe this gives him an opportunity to get somewhere where he can play some more minutes.”
Jennings was the Knicks only floor general. He averaged the most assist on the team.
The only problem with Jennings game right now is that he’s shooting bad from the field he’s shooting career low 38%.
He’s averaging 8.6 PPG and 5 Assist. He will bring immediate second unit help to the team. When he’s hot, he stays hot. Jennings will be a great backup for John Wall. Adding Jennings not going to bolster the scoring for the Wizards bench, but he will help spread the ball around.
This will be Jennings third team in the past 12 months.
