Vlade Divac tried to reassure Kings fans Sunday morning that the organization made the right move trading Cousins for Buddy Hield and Langston Galloway.
Divac is so confident that he made the right move that he even made a Jim Buss like promise. He said that if he was wrong about the deal he will step down. While there is no real timeline put upon him this basically puts Divac on the hot seat where he deserves to be after that deal.
The deal was seen as a blatant awful move on the part of the Kings as they gave up the best center in the game for almost nothing. The key part of the deal was point guard Buddy Hield.
Sacramento believes Hield has Steph Curry potential and that’s what Divac is banking on. If I was Divac I’d start emptying my desk though as Hield is only averaging a little under nine points and is shooting 38 percent from deep.
