According to the Verticle, The Cleveland Cavaliers intend to sign Deron Williams on Monday.
Earlier in the season, Lebron James went out in told the media that his team still needs help. After the Cavaliers signed Kyle Korver it seem like the chemistry wasn’t clicking quick enough. The Cavaliers still need back court help and Korver wasn’t the answer.
Williams played for Team USA in 2012 with both James and Kevin Love. Kyle Korver and Deron Williams played on the same team for the Utah Jazz in 2007–10. They were close friends.
Deron Williams will bring playmaking ability skills to the team. Williams at this age can still score and pass the ball. Right now, he’s starting for the Dallas Mavericks and averaging 13.1 PPG, shooting 43% and 7 assists. Williams will definitely fix the Cavaliers bench issue. The Cavs have the third worse bench in the NBA.
Last Month, Cleveland Cavaliers held tryouts for Lance Stephenson, Mario Chalmers and Quinn Cook.
The Cleveland Cavaliers is still first in the eastern conference and still the pick to reach the finals again.
