According to KC Johnson, the Chicago Bulls have told teams that they have no plans on trading Jimmy Butler.
The Bulls said it will take a moon shot to get Butler. After all of the bad vibes surrounding Butler and Chicago’s front office, the Bulls are now opting to keep their young star.
Jimmy Butler is having the best season of his career, averaging 24.5 PPG, 5 APG and 6 RPG. All of which are career highs in Butler’s caree, which is now in its sixth year.
The Bulls are looking to rebuild and start fresh. Butler and Chicago’s front office have been “beefing” for a long time now. Somebody from the Bulls organization even threatened Butler 3 years ago, telling him to sign a 4-year extension or lose his minutes to Tony Snell. Butler also accused the Bulls front office of spying on them in the locker room.
The Boston Celtics were one of the teams that were ready to unleash for Jimmy. The only way to get the Bulls to listen to the Celtics if Boston gives up Brooklyn draft pick this year.
