European powerhouse Fenerbahce celebrated an important 98-89 victory at “Ülker Sports Arena” versus Usak Sportif on Sunday evening for the 16th gameday of the Turkish Basketball League. Former NBAer Anthony Bennett did great job, scoring 16 points (7/7 FTs) in 25 minutes. The Canadian player added 4 rebounds and 2 assists as well, helping his new team to remain at the first place of the standings.
After his four-year NBA adventure, Bennett is trying to “reborn” his career in Istanbul under the instructions of legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic. As a reminder, the 24-year-old power forward, who attended UNLV during the 2012/13 season, was picked number one overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA draft. However, he didn’t manage to be a star in the United States.
