Earlier today, Nike officially announced that it would be adding Jason Day to its golf roster. The news was expected by many after rumors of it surfaced only a few weeks ago, but what makes it interesting is that the deal is only for footwear and apparel. Day, who’s the number 1 golfer in the world, will still be sporting TaylorMade clubs after he signed an extension in September.
The multi-year deal is suspected to be worth around $10 million a year, and probably gives Nike the most loaded golf roster in the world. (That happens when you have Tiger Woods, Rory Mcllroy, Brooks Koepka and Paul Casey as endorsers.)
