Kristaps Porzingis is getting ready for his rookie season with the Knicks. New York drafted the 7’1″ Latvian star with the 4th overall pick in the draft. One of the first issues that skeptics pointed out was Porzingis’ slim frame. Many said that he would “get bullied in the paint” and wouldn’t be able to bang with the other big men. Since the draft, Porzingis has put on 11 pounds to help prepare for the season and claims “guys can’t push me around that easy, and I still got time to get a little stronger. I can’t wait for training camp.” The new-look Knicks will be looking for instant production from the big man once the season begins.
