The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks have both added experience to their teams. The Heat signed forward Amar’e Stoudemire to a 1-year deal worth 1.4 million. Stoudemire, the once All-Star for the Phoenix Suns, spent the last several seasons underachieving, or on the IR for the New York Knicks. In the aftermath of DeAndre Jordan leaving the Dallas Mavericks, the Mavs finally get a positive. Sources say the Mavericks have acquired point guard Deron Williams from the Brooklyn Nets, in a deal reported to be a 2-year, 10 million dollar contract.
The Miami Heat have had a very successful offseason. They (Miami) has resigned Dwayne Wade, Goran Dragic, Hassan Whiteside, and Luol Deng, all while also adding forwards Gerald Green and Amar’e Stoudemire. Has Miami retained, and gained, enough talent to be a serious contender in the Eastern Conference?
