Goran Dragic is a Heat and the Heat looked like they were ready to make a push in the eastern conference before suddenly losing Chris Bosh to a blood clot in his lung that will keep him out the remainder of the season. With a lineup of Dragic-Wade-Deng-Bosh-Whiteside the Heat had everything they could ask for. They had 4 players who had the ability to close a game for them. The Heat are planning on offering Dragic a 5 year $100 million offer to Goran who was a borderline all-star last year and had to share the court with 2 other point guards this season in Bledsoe and Thomas when he was a Sun. He got what he wished for, he did not trust the Suns front office and wanted to be the sole starting point guard. He is now the floor general for the Miami Heat and not only did he get the keys to a team, he got the keys to a team with an all-stars in Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh and a young emerging center in Hassan Whiteside.
Dragic will drastically improve the back court of the Miami Heat. He adds much needed size, defense, play making and shot making to a lineup that was struggling featuring Norris Cole, Shabazz Napier and Mario Chalmers. Most people claimed the Heat did not win a championship last year due to the lack of a real point guard who could control their offense and run plays efficiently when their stars were not performing well. Dragic has a tough task ahead of him to keep the Heat in contention without Bosh.
Chris Bosh will be out for the remainder of the season as he was diagnosed with a blood clot in his lung. The clot is not life threatening and he is doing well but will not be able to play this season. With Bosh in the lineup they would have a versatile and dangerous lineup but without him their finals hopes has dwindled down a little bit. They can still contend but would need improved play from Dwayne Wade and they will need Whiteside to stay consistent.
With all of the news down in Miami we expect the Heat to stay on track. They will cause whoever they face in the playoffs many troubles and have the chance of beating anyone in a 7 game series. If Dwayne Wade stays healthy they could jump into a top four seed in the east. We do not expect the Heat to fall out of contention.
